Our finances

Thanks to the support of several communes and some generous donors, La Maison de Tara opened its doors in October 2011.

All costs related to medical care of the residents are covered by their medical insurance, as would be the case if they were at home. So these costs do not involve our administration.

We depend greatly on the contributions made by our many volunteers which substantially reduce our running costs.

However, the rate charged for each resident’s stay is only 50% of our real costs. These include the expenses related to core professional, administrative and other requirements for the day-to-day running of the house.

So, without donors, La Maison de Tara would be simply unable to function. Thank you in advance for any help you are able to give us.

It is possible to make a donation by bank transfer or online.  You will find details on the following pages or by clicking directly on the sidebar under ‘donation’. On request a donation certificate will be sent for tax purposes.
